Antek was seven years old and his younger sister Maja was five. They both enjoyed spending their holidays with their grandmother Hela, who had a house with a large garden, full of flowers and fragrant herbs. One cloudy day the children were playing hide and seek. Antek hid in a huge old wardrobe in grandma's room. The wardrobe smelled of lavender. When he closed the door behind him, he felt something strange under his fingers. To his left, he felt a small handle. Puzzled, he pulled on it and suddenly.... the wall of the wardrobe swung open! Behind it was a small, round door, as if from a fairy tale about dwarfs. - Maya! Come here quickly! - he called out in a whisper. Maja immediately flew over and they both looked at the door. It was decorated with coloured pebbles and drawings of stars. In the middle was the inscription: "For the brave only". - Shall we open? - Maja asked with her eyes wide open. - Sure! - replied Antek, feeling his heart beating faster. As they turned the handle, the door opened of its own accord. Behind them was a rainbow mist, from which came laughter and the quiet sounds of bells. The children took a step forward. Suddenly, the ground beneath their feet turned into a soft, jumping carpet of grass, and all around them appeared colourful mushrooms, glowing flowers and tiny flying skylights. In the distance, they could see a gingerbread palace and huge trees whose leaves were shaped like animals. Suddenly they heard a voice: - Hello, visitors! We are looking for someone to help us solve a very important task. Are you ready? Antek and Maja looked at each other, curious and a little concerned. Then a figure in a leafy cloak jumped out of a colourful bush.... And then something happened that they did not expect at all!
