Maks loved to fall asleep with his cat Mela. One night, as his mum turned out the light, something began to rustle quietly under the bed. Mela lifted her head and meowed, and Maks felt a slight tickle in his stomach - a little fear, a little curiosity. - Do you hear that, Mela? - whispered the boy and covered himself with the duvet up to his ears. However, curiosity was stronger. Maks slowly reached his hand into the bedside table and switched on a small torch. A narrow beam of light danced on the floor. The rustling grew louder and louder....
