In contrast to the charming, quiet town where everything seemed to be a familiar and constant feature, there was a house that was not like the others. A grand old mansion at the end of the street, surrounded by a wild garden and the suspended mists of mystery that always seemed to surround this unusual house. The main characters in this story are four friends - Alice, Ben, Charlie and Dana. They were inseparable and known for their love of adventure. Their curiosity was piqued when one day they found an ancient key hidden between the pages of a dilapidated book they had discovered in the attic of the house. The key seemed impossible to describe - it was extremely ancient, yet shone as if it were new, with strange, unfamiliar symbols carved along its shaft. Alice, Ben, Charlie and Dana decided to search for a lock to which this key would fit. Their search, leading to different parts of the house, was full of stress and joyful anticipation. Suddenly, when they had almost given up hope, they discovered a mysterious door hidden behind an old tapestry in one of the forgotten rooms. The door was as old as the key itself, with engraved symbols that disturbingly resembled those on the key. The four friends, terrified but full of poignant curiosity, put the key in the lock, turned and the door opened. Holding their breath, they slowly opened the door and looked at what was hidden behind it.... And there... What was there? Well, that's a mystery you'll have to search for the answer yourself.
