Darkness between the stars
Martyn and Oskar arrived at the old Erebos research station, hidden among the glistening dust of the Orion nebula. Their task was to check for strange signals interfering with Earth's communications with nearby colonies. When they got off the shuttle, the station seemed dead. The lights flickered on for a moment, only to go out shortly afterwards, and the silence was almost palpable, broken only by the rustling of dust under their boots.
As they made their way through the narrow metal corridors, Martina began to notice strange, incoherent writing on the walls - as if someone was writing something down in a hurry, losing the meaning of the words. Oskar looked anxiously at the indicators detecting the presence of life, which were constantly flickering, showing once zero, once strange jumps in value.
In the command centre, they found the chief scientist's logbook - the last entry had broken off in mid-word: "If you find this, don't go...". At that moment, the lights flared again and heavy, dragging footsteps sounded deep in the corridor. Martina and Oskar exchanged glances, feeling the tension building up. What secret hid in the darkness between the stars? And would they manage to find it out before it was too late?
