Closed Drawer of Emotions

Closed Drawer of Emotions
When Victor moved into an old house on the edge of the forest with his family, he was both excited and a little scared. The house was huge, full of creaking stairs and nooks and crannies that no one knew except its new owner, Aunt Anna. On the first day, while playing hide and seek with his younger sister Mila, Victor noticed a strange chest of drawers in his new room. It had one drawer that wouldn't open, even though the boy tried every way. In the evening, when everyone was already asleep, Victor returned to the drawer. He felt that there was something in it. Mila didn't believe it at first, but agreed to help further the search. They tested the drawer by dropping emotions written on slips of paper into it: sadness, joy, fear. Each time they closed the drawer, the emotion became weaker, as if someone had sucked it out of the air. Only one emotion kept coming back - anxiety. One night Victor heard quiet whispers from the drawer. The siblings' hearts began to beat faster. They held hands, watching as the ajar drawer slowly opened....
