A moment later, a boy from the first half of the 21st century passed him, listening to music on a bizarre device resembling a combination of a smartphone and an old walkman. Matthew felt the mixture of old and new worlds begin to sprout within him, something unsettling yet fascinating. He moved towards the river, attracted by the glowing light on the bridge.
