Tosia finds a tiny blue door in her grandmother's garden, and when it opens, something magical waits below.
Tosia loved her grandmother's garden. It was full of buzzing bees, soft grass, and places to hide. One bright morning, while she played hide and seek with her cat Basil, she spotted something she had never seen before: a tiny blue door tucked under a bush.
Basil stopped at once. His whiskers twitched. Then he gave the door a gentle tap with his paw. Creak.
Tosia leaned closer. A little golden handle glittered in the sun, and for a moment the door seemed to shiver, as if it was waiting for her. Her heart gave a quick jump. She reached out, touched the handle, and the door swung open with a warm, fragrant breeze.
Behind it, Tosia could see a narrow staircase going down and down into glowing colours. Basil sprang onto the first step and turned back to look at her. Tosia held her breath and peered into the mysterious opening, where something softly gleamed in the dark.
