Tosia finds a tiny door hidden behind her wardrobe, and beyond it lies a bright, curious world full of rainbows, butterflies, and a pink bunny waiting for her.
Tosia liked her room best when rain tapped on the window and the whole house felt quiet and cosy. That afternoon she was lining up her toys when she noticed something odd behind her big old wardrobe.
She knelt down and peered into the shadow. There, set low in the wall, was a tiny wooden door she had never seen before. It had a golden handle and little painted rainbows along the edge. Smiling animals danced across the wood, as if they were hurrying somewhere fun.
Tosia held her breath. She reached out and touched the handle. The door clicked, then opened with a soft creak.
Behind it was not her room at all.
A bright forest glowed in the doorway, with red, blue, and yellow trees swaying gently. Birds sang from the branches. Glittering butterflies drifted through the air like bits of sparkle. Farther in, she could see balloons tied to the trees and, beyond them, candyfloss towers rising into the sky.
Then a little pink bunny stepped into view. He lifted one paw and waved at her, as if he had been waiting.
Tosia took one small step closer. Just then, something moved deep in the Rainbow Forest, and the bunny’s ears shot straight up.
