Pola and her little robot Robuś hear a strange sound in a glowing garden on Zielonix. When they peek behind a starry bush, a blue light starts to wake something up.
Pola was seven, and she lived on the planet Zielonix with her best friend, the little robot Robuś. Their garden was full of glowing leaves, shiny flowers, and soft moon-pink grass. Above them, the sky sparkled with purple clouds.
That day, Pola was chasing a floating seed ball when she heard it.
Bzzzt. Click. Bzzzt.
She froze. So did Robuś. His antenna twitched, and his eyes blinked twice. "Pola," he whispered, "did you hear that?"
Pola pointed at a bush covered in tiny blue stars. The bush trembled. Bzzzt. Click. The sound came again, a little louder this time, as if something was tapping from the inside.
"Maybe it’s a space slug," Pola said softly.
Robuś took one careful step closer. Then another. His eyes glowed brighter, lighting up the leaves. Pola followed, holding her breath. The bush shook once more, and a thin blue light slipped through the branches.
Something behind the leaves was moving.
