Fluffy finds a tiny door in the garden, and when he and his friends come closer, the strange little door begins to glow.
Fluffy was a small cat who lived with his grandmother in a bright, colourful house at the edge of the woods. Every day he raced through the garden with Fruzia the sparrow and Rudy the squirrel, chasing leaves, hiding in the grass, and pouncing on shadows.
One sunny morning, Fluffy stopped so suddenly that his whiskers twitched. Behind the strawberry bush, where there had only ever been soil and berries before, stood a tiny wooden door.
It had a shiny golden handle and a round knob carved like a star. The door was so little that only Fluffy could fit through it.
"Look!" Fluffy called. "Where did that come from?"
Fruzia fluttered down onto the bush. Rudy hurried over, his tail flicking with excitement. They pressed closer. The door gave a soft wobble.
Then they heard it: a quiet giggle, as if someone was laughing on the other side. A sweet smell of raspberries drifted through the garden, and somewhere behind the little door, bells began to tinkle softly.
"Open it," whispered Rudy.
Fluffy lifted one paw and touched the handle. At once, the door lit up in a swirl of bright colours, and the garden fell perfectly still. Fluffy stared at the glowing door, his heart thumping. What was waiting for him on the other side?
