Maja and Kuba find a strange silver key in the park and discover a hidden stone marked with a star under the old oak tree.
Maja and Kuba loved playing in the park, especially under the old oak tree with its wide, shady branches. One bright morning, while they were chasing each other through the grass, Maja stopped so suddenly that Kuba nearly bumped into her.
"Kuba, come here! Quickly!" she whispered.
Something shiny glinted in the grass near her shoe. Kuba crouched beside her, and together they brushed away the blades of grass. There, lying in the dirt, was a tiny silver key. It was old and a little rusty, and a strange star shape was carved into one end.
Kuba turned it over in his hand. "What do you think it opens?"
Maja glanced around the park. The bench sat empty. The bushes rustled softly. The oak tree stood still and huge above them, as if it were listening.
"Maybe a treasure box," she said in a hush. "Or a secret door."
They started to search. Under the bench, behind the bushes, around the thick roots of the tree. Then Maja spotted something else near the trunk: a round stone, almost hidden in the grass. On it was a star painted in faded white.
Her heart thumped hard.
She reached out and touched the stone. It shifted a little.
Kuba froze. "Do you think... the key goes here?"
The two children looked at each other, and very slowly, Maja lifted the silver key toward the star-marked stone...
