Susie and the Space Swing

Susie builds a swing that lifts her far beyond the sky, where she meets Felo and a glowing stone that hums with a strange secret.

Susie loved the night sky. Every evening she would press her nose to the window and watch the stars blink like tiny silver lanterns.

One bright afternoon, she had an idea. She found a board, some strong string, and her favourite tree in the garden. If she built a swing high enough, maybe, just maybe, it could carry her right up to the stars.

She tied the rope tight, tested the seat, and took a deep breath. Then she climbed on and pushed off.

The swing creaked. It rocked. Then it rose higher than Susie had ever gone before. Higher than the roof. Higher than the clouds. The wind whistled past her ears.

Suddenly, her feet felt light. Too light.

With a little jolt, the ground vanished beneath her, and everything around her turned soft and blue.

When Susie opened her eyes, she was standing on a field of gentle blue grass under a sky full of strange, bright stars. Nearby stood a tiny alien in a green jumpsuit, smiling as if he had been waiting for her.

"Hi, I'm Felo," he said.

Susie stared at him, then looked around the strange planet. Behind them, a huge glowing stone was pulsing with light.

Felo pointed to it and whispered, "It sings sometimes. But today... it sounds different."

Susie took one careful step closer. The stone gave a low, shimmering hum, and then, right before her eyes, it flashed once and murmured something she could not understand...
