Zosia and the Time Clock

Zosia finds a strange clock in her grandmother's attic and, with Pimek the teddy bear, is whisked into a journey through time.

On a rainy afternoon, Zosia climbed into her grandmother's attic to look for something interesting. Dusty books leaned against old trunks, and a broken toy horse sat in the corner. Then Zosia spotted a clock she had never seen before. It was small, bright, and shiny, with golden hands that shimmered in the dim light.

Zosia reached out and touched it.

The clock gave a soft tick.

Then another.

A pale glow spilled from under the glass, and tiny coloured sparks danced into the air.

"Pimek!" Zosia whispered.

She hugged her teddy bear just as a voice floated out of the clock. "Get ready for an extraordinary journey!"

The attic spun around them. The rain, the trunks, the cobwebs - all of it blurred into a whirl of light.

When everything stopped, Zosia opened her eyes and gasped.

She was standing on the ground, but the earth beneath her looked strange and rough. Huge footprints pressed deep into the mud. They were bigger than her feet, bigger than Pimek, bigger than anything Zosia had ever seen.

A heavy rustle sounded behind a bush nearby.

Zosia held her breath. Something was moving there.
