Secret Talks in the Old Backpack

Ola finds an old backpack in the cupboard, and its contents start to talk. Their whispers lead her deeper into the house, where something mysterious is hiding.

One rainy afternoon, Ola was searching the big cupboard for her favourite crayon when her hand brushed against something soft and dusty. She pulled out an old backpack, bright with faded colours and tucked away as if it had been sleeping for years.

Ola unzipped it slowly. At once, a tiny whisper floated out.

"Psst! Can you let us out?"

Ola froze.

Inside the backpack sat a green pencil case, a yellow ruler, and a blue, puffy pen. They were all looking up at her. The pencil case gave a little smile and winked.

"Hello, Ola," it said. "At last, some light. Could we please go on an excursion?"

Ola blinked. Talking things? That was impossible. But then the ruler gave a little wobble, and the pen let out a soft giggle.

Before Ola could say a word, she heard it too: faint laughter and a rustling sound, coming from deep inside the cupboard, beyond the old shelves and winter coats.

Someone, or something, was hiding in the dark.
