On Christmas Eve, Hania finds a bell with the letter M on it. The sound leads the family through the snow to a dark shed. What awaits inside?
Today is Christmas Eve, and snow covers the roofs. The warm glow of coloured lights peeps into the window. Hania hangs baubles and hums a carol. Suddenly something chimes quietly under the Christmas tree. It's not a chain and it's not a small toy.
Hania crouches down and looks between the parcels. There lies a silver bell with a red ribbon. On the bell is a small letter M. Hania asks in a whisper: "Mum, is this yours?". Mum shakes her head and makes big eyes. Dad says: "Maybe Santa left it."
The bell rings again, although no one touches it. A light clatter and giggle can be heard from behind the door. Hania puts on her jacket, hat and shoes. Her parents go with her into the yard. Tiny footprints and sparkles can be seen in the snow. The footprints lead to the shed next to the fence. The bell rings louder until the gloves tremble. Hania presses the handle and swings the door open. Inside, a red shadow flashes and....
