Little Nadia finds that her starry blanket can make her invisible. With Fluffy at her side, she is ready for an adventure until a strange rustling starts under the table...
Nadia lived in a yellow house with a big garden, and her favourite place in the whole house was her bed with the soft blanket covered in colourful stars.
One morning, a bright stripe of sunshine slid across her room. Nadia wrapped the blanket around her shoulders and gasped. Her hands were gone. Then her arms. Then, for one thrilling moment, it was as if she had vanished completely.
"Fluffy!" she whispered.
Her cat jumped onto the bed, flicked his tail, and stepped under the blanket too. Now two invisible shapes wriggled and bumped and giggled in the warm, starry dark.
"We can sneak anywhere," Nadia breathed. "We can do anything."
Fluffy gave a soft purr, as if he agreed.
Nadia peeked toward the door, already wondering whether to creep into the kitchen for a biscuit or tiptoe into the living room to hunt for the strange shadow under the table. Just then, a tiny rustle came from below the bed.
Nadia froze.
Fluffy’s ears pricked up.
The rustling came again, louder this time, and it was moving straight toward the table....
