Ola and Max hear a strange ringing coming from a school locker. When a blue light slips through the crack, they have to decide whether to open it.
Ola came to school earlier than usual. The corridor was still sleepy and quiet, with soft voices drifting from the classrooms.
She stopped in front of her locker and froze.
Dzyń. Dzyń.
The sound was tiny, but it was clear as a bell.
Ola looked left and right. No one was there.
Then Max hurried up beside her, carrying his school bag in both hands.
"Did you hear that?" Ola whispered.
Max frowned. "It sounded like a bell. But why would a bell be inside a locker?"
They leaned closer to the metal door. This time the sound came again.
Ding. Ding.
The locker gave a small shake.
A thin blue glow slipped through the crack around the door.
Ola and Max stared at each other.
"Should we open it?" Max asked, in a voice so quiet it was almost nothing.
Ola put her hand on the key. Her fingers felt cold.
The bell rang once more, louder than before.
Then the locker door began to move on its own...
