Mr. Sock finds a magic ice cream scoop under his bed, and their silly adventure turns his bedroom into a wobbling, strawberry-scented surprise.
In a little house on Laughing Street lived Mr. Sock. He was no ordinary sock. He could talk, bounce, and get into trouble before breakfast. One morning, while hunting under his bed for his twin, he found something very odd indeed: a shiny ice cream scoop with a grin as wide as a banana.
"Hello there," said the scoop. "Fancy an adventure?"
Mr. Sock gave a happy hop. "Only if you can dance!"
At once, the scoop spun round and round like a top. The bedroom shivered, the curtains fluttered, and in a blink the whole room turned into an ice-cream parlour. The cupboards looked like giant wafers. The lamp smelt of strawberries. Even the dust bunnies seemed to be licking their lips.
Then a laughing teddy bear popped out from behind a teacup. "Dance contest!" he shouted, clapping his paws. Mr. Sock was just about to show off his best wiggle when a strange thump-thump-thump came from the drawer.
The room went very still.
Something inside the drawer was scratching... and knocking... and trying very hard not to be heard.
