The Little Cloud Without a Smile

Kasia finds a tiny sad cloud on the playground and tries to help it smile again, just as something stirs in the bushes.

It was a bright, sunny day in the playground, and Kasia was halfway up the slide when she saw something she had never seen before.

A tiny, fluffy cloud was sitting on the swing. It looked soft as cotton, but its face was droopy and gray.

Kasia climbed down slowly and walked over. "Why are you so sad?" she asked.

The cloud gave a little sigh. "I lost my smile. Without it, I can’t shine properly. I can’t even feel soft."

Kasia frowned. She wanted to help right away. "When I feel sad, I draw, or I laugh with my friends," she said. "Maybe we can find your smile too."

The cloud looked at her with bright, uncertain eyes. Soon, children began to gather around the swing, whispering and pointing up at the little cloud.

Then, from the bushes nearby, came a soft, strange rustling sound. Something was moving there...
