In a deep old forest, Boris, Fela, Otylia, and Gucio prepare for their yearly night concert, but glowing footprints in the moss lead them toward a mystery no one expects.
In the heart of an ancient forest, where even the still air seemed to hum between the trunks, lived four unusual friends: Boris the cheerful badger, Fela the daring squirrel, Otylia the wise owl, and Gucio the rather clumsy hedgehog. They were used to strange little adventures, but this night felt different from the start.
The Great Forest Concert was finally here. All year, the animals had been preparing in secret. Fela had tucked leafy notes into the branches. Otylia had practised the creak of old wood and the soft hush of night wings. Boris was busy finishing a stage made of moss and fallen bark, while Gucio tested his drum solo on a row of empty nut shells, trying very hard not to miss every second beat.
When dusk slipped over the forest and the moon lifted itself above the spruce trees, the orchestra gathered in the clearing. Pebbles, pinecones, twigs, and acorns were laid out like precious instruments. The air trembled with excitement.
Then Gucio stopped so suddenly that his shell drums rolled into the grass.
Near the roots of a huge oak, faint golden marks were glowing in the moss.
"Look!" he whispered.
The others hurried over. One by one, they saw it too: tiny footprints, shining as if they had been dipped in moonlight and honey. Before anyone could touch them, the prints brightened, one after another, stretching away between the trees.
Fela's tail flicked nervously. "Those weren't there a moment ago."
Otylia leaned forward, her eyes reflecting the strange light. "They want us to follow."
From somewhere beyond the brush came a soft metallic clink.
All at once, the forest seemed to go still. Even the crickets fell silent.
The glowing footprints turned toward the darkest part of the woods, stopping at an old boulder covered in lichen. Behind it, something gave another sharp, ringing sound, as if someone or something was waiting in the shadows....
