Julka and her cat Purr find that their kitchen is full of small surprises. One morning, something very mysterious begins to stir among the cups and sugar bowl.
Julka lived with her mum, her dad, and her cat Purr in a small yellow house at the end of the street. In the mornings, their kitchen smelled like cocoa, and sunlight made bright patches on the floor.
One morning, Julka stepped inside and heard a tiny sound. "Pst!" It came from somewhere near the sideboard. Julka stopped. Purr lifted his head at once, his whiskers twitching.
Something had moved. A teacup gave a soft little bounce. Then another. Julka stared at the tabletop, where a trail of tiny, colourful footprints had appeared as if by magic. She gathered Purr into her arms and took one careful step forward.
What was hiding in their kitchen? And why did everything feel different today?
Then, from behind the sugar bowl, came a quiet, mysterious giggle...
