Julek and his toothbrush Brush are whisked into a strange land where teeth shine like pearls and a sweet-loving dragon is causing trouble.
Julek lived in a bright little house at the edge of the forest. Every evening, he brushed his teeth with his cheerful toothbrush, Brush, making tiny circles in the mirror while the last light slipped through the window.
One night, the mirror gave a sudden flash. A warm wind whooshed past Julek’s nose, the bathroom floor tipped away, and in a blink he was standing somewhere else entirely.
Around him grew sweet trees with honey threads hanging from the branches. In the meadow, small pasty dwarves twirled and laughed. At the top of a white stone hill stood the Tooth King, wearing a crown made of carrots. He leaned forward at once. “Julek, we’ve been waiting for you,” he said. “A sweet-dragon has come to the Land of White Teeth.”
Before Julek could answer, Brush gave a tiny tremble in his hand. Far off in the mist, something heavy scraped across the ground. Then a sticky smell drifted through the air, and a huge shadow slid over the shining bridge. Julek swallowed hard and took one step closer.
