Ada and her kitten Leo tumble into a bright world of tooth houses, walking toothbrushes, and a trouble that hides in the cracks.
Ada had just finished brushing her teeth when the bathroom gave a tiny chime. Ding-dong.
She froze. In the toothpaste cup, her toothbrush was glowing blue like a little moon. Leo, her kitten, hopped onto the bath mat and stared at it with wide eyes.
The glow grew brighter. The air began to spin. Ada grabbed Leo just as the bathroom whooshed away.
When the spinning stopped, they were standing in a strange new land that looked like a giant smiling face. The houses were shaped like bright, shining teeth. Toothbrushes in little hats hurried along the streets. Tall green strands of floss swayed where trees should have been.
Ada blinked. Leo gave a small mew.
A pink toothbrush hurried up to them. "I'm Brush Dot," she said, panting. "You have to help us. Sugarbeetles are creeping into the cracks between the teeth."
Leo arched his back. Ada tightened her grip on her toothbrush.
They were just about to follow Brush Dot toward the Cuckoos when they heard it, a soft burst of giggles coming from inside the biggest tooth house in the middle of the square...
